[ARCHIVED] Play Areas at City Parks will be Closed Until Further Notice

Consistent with actions taken by other cities, the City of Emeryville is closing the play areas at City parks due to the COVID-19 virus. The parks themselves will remain open, and residents are encouraged to get outside and walk, bike, jog or hike while maintaining safe social distances. In order to limit potential transmission of the coronavirus it is essential that appropriate social distancing (6 feet of space between individuals) is maintained.

The City appreciates how seriously Emeryville residents have taken the Public Health Officer’s shelter order. This is a challenging time, and one that will be difficult for the whole community. We appreciate your patience as we work through these next weeks.
