Due to rain earlier in the week, construction activity to form the stairs and bridge supports was delayed by a day and resulted in concrete placement on Friday instead of Thursday this week. The curing process of the concrete requires the concrete forms to be removed 24 hours after the pour and power washing to be performed. This is to achieve the architectural aesthetic texture of the exposed aggregate concrete. This requires the contractor Ghilotti Construction will work on Saturday, March 21, 2020, to strip the forms and perform power washing of the concrete finish on Stair and Bridge Supports at the east end of Ohlone Way. Work start after 8:00 AM and is expected to last approximately 4 hours.
