The Emeryville Police Department is pleased to announce the launch of a new online reporting system. With this new service, the City hopes to provide the community with another option for filing a police report. Using this online police report system allows citizens to submit a report immediately and at their own convenience. Officers will remain available to the public should someone prefer to make a report over the phone, or have an officer respond. Users must be 18 years or older to file an online report.
The following types of reporting is offered online:
- Abandoned Vehicle
- Bicycle Theft
- Harassing Phone Calls
- Hit and Run Vehicle Collision
- Identity Theft
- Lost Property
- Theft – With a Value of $950 or Less
- Theft From A Vehicle
- Traffic Complaint
- Vandalism
- Vandalism To a Vehicle
These reports may only be filed online if:
- This is not an emergency
- This incident occurred within the Emeryville City limits
- There are no known suspects
- This did not occur on a State Freeway

Within approximately ten business days the incident report will be reviewed by Emeryville Police Department personnel. Upon review, if further investigation of the case is needed, the filer may be contacted. It is also important to note that filing a false police report is a crime.
If the incident is not listed in the category selection list above, please call the Emeryville Police Department (emergency 9-1-1; non-emergency (510) 596-3700)) to file a report.
