AC Transit is seeking feedback on service improvements set for implementation in 2019 and 2020. You can provide input by attending the community meetings in Oakland, Richmond, Alameda, and Hayward, or the Public Hearings. Summary of Proposed Service Changes

Richmond

AC Transit is exploring alternative routes for Lines 71 and 376 in order to improve navigation for buses moving through the area.

Oakland

The Bus Rapid Transit Project (BRT) will bring faster and more frequent service to the International Boulevard corridor between downtown San Leandro and downtown Oakland. The launch of BRT service includes the following proposed changes:

  • Replace Line 1 with the new BRT service, operating every seven (7) minutes between San Leandro BART and Uptown Oakland (Broadway and 20^th)
  • Shorten Line 801 Owl service to only operate between San Leandro and Fremont BART stations. BRT will replace Line 801 as the Owl from downtown Oakland to San Leandro BART
  • Adjust Lines 14 and 47 near Fruitvale BART to serve San Leandro Street and High Street

Alameda

The Alameda Transportation Management Association is working with AC Transit to extend Line 96 and improve its frequency to as often as every 15 minutes.

Hayward

AC Transit is proposing to improve frequency on Line 60.
