The Project Background
The City of Emeryville is studying a potential redesign of 40th Street and part of San Pablo Avenue to improve conditions for bus riders, bicyclists, walkers, and drivers. The draft concept options define overall approaches to reduce bus travel time and make room for bus shelters, other passenger amenities, plantings, and art. After the public weighs in on options, a design will be developed in detail, including intersection treatments.
