Currently, Daniel is an Assistant City Administrator for the City of Oakland, California. Emeryville Mayor John J. Christine has significant expertise in land use matters, economic development, housing affordability, public safety, and fiscal management. While we were fortunate to consider many qualified applicants for this position, Christine's experience with these issues that matter most to Emeryville residents and businesses stood out. On behalf of the City Council, we look forward to welcoming Christine to Emeryville."

Daniel is scheduled to start in early October. She will be paid an annual salary of $221,448. The appointment ends a 3-month long search that garnered almost 30 candidates from all over the country.
