The City of Emeryville will be celebrating the purchase and installation of several art pieces this December at three separate receptions.  These artworks were acquired by the City through its "Purchase Award Program", developed in 2006 for the City of Emeryville's Art in Public Places Program, in conjunction with the annual Celebration of the Arts Exhibition.  Established in 1990, the City of Emeryville's Art in Public Places Program supports art in the public realm and helps raise awareness of the arts in Emeryville.  For more information, see www.emeryville.org/publicart.

Kazuko Watanabe "Nostalgic Imprint: Camellia Path"

Please join the City of Emeryville and its Public Art Committee on December 13, 2017, to celebrate our public art program and the purchase of new work by Emeryville artist Kazuko Watanabe.  Ms. Watanabe's work will be installed in the Billiard Room at the Senior Center at 4321 Salem Street.  Ms. Watanabe joins artist Teresa Kalnoskas for Ms. Kalnoskas' show of senior portraits, a project supported by the City through the Community Grants Award of 2017.  Additionally, works purchased by the City in 2016 are on display at the Senior Center, as well as newly installed posters from the City's Bus Shelter Public Art program.
