As part of the Franchise Agreement between the City of Emeryville and Waste Management of Alameda County, Inc. (WMAC), for solid waste, recyclable materials, and organics materials services, WMAC will undergo an annual rate adjustment of 0.96%, effective January 1, 2017. The rate increase reflects 2016's "Item Weight Allocation", as outlined in the second document below.
