2022 Annual Street Rehabilitation and Paving Project

Late September - November 2022


We are re-designing certain streets in compliance with Emeryville's Complete Street Policy to improve safety for pedestrians and bicycles. These designs will affect 47th Street, Steve Dain Drive, Doyle Street, and 41st Street.

Annual Street Rehabilitation Sep-Nov 2022

Project Scope

  • Slurry Seal on all project areas
  • Improved striping configurations for pedestrian and bicycle facilities on 41st Street, 47th Street, Doyle Street, and Steve Dain Drive
  • Improved safety features for bicycles including protected lane transitions at intersections, hardscape medians, plastic bollard buffered areas at street corners, and green thermoplastic lanes
  • Pedestrian enhancements including curb ramps, crosswalks, and new protected intersection corners
  • New additional traffic calming elements and enhancements to existing traffic calming infrastructure
