[ARCHIVED] Help Emeryville Keep Our Storm Drains Clear

During heavy rains, the maintenance staff at the Department of Public Works is on full alert, circulating throughout the City to remove downed trees and limbs; clean storm drains; and remove leaves and debris, which can lead to flooding. 

The Community can be part of the proactive patrols that stop minor storm drain issues from becoming more significant flooding issues. How? If your house or business is near a storm drain or you pass by one on your afternoon walk, and you see that it is clogged with leaves or other debris, please contact us immediately, and we will try to get right out there to clean it up! By doing so, you will help prevent costly flooding problems, preserve our storm drains, 

Please call the Public Works Department at (510) 596-4330  or go online at Engage Emeryville - SeeClickFix to report all storm drain issues.

Also, the City of Emeryville has a sandbag distribution site up and running for residents that may need sandbags. Located at the City’s corporation yard at 5900 Christie Ave and 59th street . This is a self-serve station and free to residents. The sandbag station is stocked with bags, shovels, and a sand funnel while supplies last.
