The Tri-city Cafe offers seniors and adults with disabilities, regardless of income, nutritious lunches at the Emeryville Senior Center. Meals are currently served on Wednesday at 11:45 a.m. A suggested donation of $3 for those over the age of 60 and $5.50 for those under 60 years old is requested. Please check back as we increase the days of meal service in the upcoming months.

Meals on Wheels
The Meals on Wheels program delivers meals to qualified, home-bound Emeryville residents age 60 years and above who are unable to shop or cook for themselves. Hot meals can be delivered weekdays and frozen meals can be available for weekends if necessary. A $3 donation is suggested per meal. Call the Senior Center Nutrition Specialist at 510-596-4309 for more information or to register for this program.
If you are available between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on weekdays and would like to volunteer as a driver for our Meals on Wheels program please contact either the Nutrition Specialist or the Emeryville Senior Center.
Mercy Brown Bag Program
What is Mercy Brown Bag Program?
The Mercy Brown Bag Program, sponsored by the Mercy Retirement and Care Center, distributes a grocery bag of nutritional food to low-income seniors twice a month. Normally bags consist of 10 to 15 items per bag including: bread, fresh produce, assorted canned foods, and other items depending on availability.
Who is eligible? Low-income seniors age 60 years or above. Only one membership per household. Income must be verified upon registration.
How do I register?Registration occurs each January but applications are accepted year-round. Contact the Emeryville Senior Center at 510-596-3730. If there are openings, you will need to provide proof of your current income from all sources including: SSI, Social Security, Pension, etc. Registration must be completed before bags are issued.
Is there a cost?
A voluntary contribution of $10 per year is requested. Anyone unable to contribute will not be turned away.
