Alameda County Opens COVID-19 Testing Sites

The Alameda County Public Health Department has formed a COVID-19 Testing Task Force to develop and implement a coordinated testing program to address disparities, ensure countywide access, and support the County’s COVID response.

The COVID-19 Testing Task Force anticipates updates to their strategy to address changing needs across the County, as state and federal guidance is updated, as more resources become available, and as the epidemic evolves. Their current strategy relies on nucleic acid-based COVID-19 tests as these have good and well-understood performance and are increasingly available. At this time, serological (antibody) testing is useful for studies exploring the extent of the epidemic but remains unreliable for diagnosing infection and predicting immunity.

Please click here for a list of known COVID-19 testing sites in Alameda County, as of April 23, 2020. This list will be updated as needed.

Please note:

  • Testing procedures and timing of results vary by site; please call the contact number or visit the site’s website for further information.
  • Some sites offer testing for people without insurance; please note the groups listed under the "Populations Served" column, and confirm with the contact number.
  • ACPHD is listing these sites for informational purposes and does not endorse any particular site over another.
