Climate Action Plan 2.0 Update

The City of Emeryville is currently working on its update to the 2008 Climate Action Plan. This Climate Action Plan looks to the state targets for reducing 40% below baseline levels of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030 and 80% below baseline levels by 2050. The initial list of objectives and initiatives will be available for public feedback and comment during the community workshops in May 2016. We are especially interested in hearing back about priority issues or actions.

Schedule of Community Workshops:

Saturday, May 7, 2016   10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Tuesday, May 10, 2016  11:00 am to 1:00 pm
Tuesday, May 10, 2016    6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

All workshops will be held in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 1333 Park Avenue, Emeryville, CA 94608 with light refreshments available. Please RSVP to

Childcare will be provided at the Saturday and Tuesday evening meetings only.

Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions

The City of Emeryville approved a Climate Action Plan in 2008 and goal for reducing its GHG emissions to protect the climate. By 2020, the city plans on reducing emissions from the whole community and the government operations by 25% over 2004 levels.
