Professional Services

Personnel
The Professional Services Division is comprised of the Administrative Services, Records & Communication and Criminal Investigation Sections which is under the command of Captain Dante Diotalevi. The division is comprised of sworn and civilian personnel whose duties include recruitment, investigation, police communications, records management, community outreach, finger printing and property management.

Administrative Services Section
The Administrative Services Section is managed by a Sergeant, who supervises a police officer and Police Service Technicians. This busy section is responsible for, personnel and recruitment, community outreach, citizen complaints, the Youth Diversion Program, Security Coalition meetings, Mounted Patrol Program, and processing all administrative matters.

Records and Communication Section

The Records and Communication Section is the public safety answering point for all emergency and non-emergency calls for service. In addition, they are responsible for the processing and retention of all police records, the False Alarm Program which tracks all false alarms, the Citizen Audit Program, and the Dog Licensing Program. The staffing for this Section consists of Police Service Technicians, who are managed by a Police Service Manager.

Criminal Investigations Section

The Criminal Investigations Section is responsible for all follow up investigations. Responsibilities include, interviewing witnesses and suspects, gathering additional investigative information, writing search warrants and on scene investigations on serious crimes such as homicides. The Section is also responsible for fingerprinting, permit processing and property management. The Section consists of Detectives and Police Service Technicians who are managed by a Police Sergeant.
