Ongoing Projects
The city is currently using funds from the Art in Public Places Ordinance to develop additional Public Art. Current projects include:
  • Emeryville Center of Community Life Public Art: In October 2015, the City was considering five finalists with artist installation expected in 2016. A project page will be developed when artists have been selected here. View original RFP here
  • Shellmound/Powell Street Bridge Public Art -View more information online
  • James Emery Skate Spot Public Art - “Manta” and Bollard Barriers by Michael Greenwald Creations to be installed in 2014
  • Point Emery - Shells/Mounds by Adam Kuby to be installed 2015
  • Re-occurring Programs
    • Bus Shelter program - the city has a juried, rotating installation of local artists in 4 bus shelters citywide through November 2016. View more information online
    • Purchase Award -annual purchase in October of each year. See here for more information.
