Volunteer Coaches helped a number of people repair multiple items at the recent Emeryville Fixit Clinic held on Saturday Nov. 21st, 2015 at 2:00- 5:00 p.m.
Bridgecourt Room, 3990 Harlan St. @ 40th (near Home Depot)
What is a Fixit Clinic?  It is.....
Guided Disassembly of Your Broken Stuff. Open it up. See how it worked. Hopefully fix it. An All-Ages Do-it-Together (D.I.T) Repair Event: bring your broken, non-functioning things -- electronics, appliances, computers, toys, bicycles, etc.-- for assessment, disassembly, and possible repair. We'll provide workspace, specialty tools, and guidance to help you disassemble and troubleshoot your item. Whether we fix it or not, you'll learn more about how it was manufactured and how it worked. This is a family-friendly event: children are heartily invited! Fixit Clinics are a new fun way to get your small appliances, electronics and other broken stuff repaired. For Free! Bring what needs fixing, get help taking it apart and figuring out how to fix it. A community event. If you like fixing things and have tools, bring them and help out. You may be the next Emeryville Fixit Coach!
